1. Who holds your information
This matters, because it is not us.
- Your employer — the company you choose when you first open the app — decides what information is collected about you and what happens to it. Everything you enter is stored on that company's own server, not on a server shared with other companies.
- One Door Technologies (SMC-Pvt) Ltd builds and publishes the app. We do not receive, store or have access to your company's work records through it.
One Door's own server answers only three questions, and receives nothing about you in the process: which companies appear in the list when you first open the app, and what the minimum app version is. If your company is not in that list, your office gives you their address directly and One Door is not involved at all.
2. Information the app handles
- Account information: username, name and role of the staff member, and the technician profile linked by the company. The password is sent securely to your company's server to sign in, and is only kept on the phone if you switch on “Remember me”, in the phone's encrypted storage.
- Work records entered in the app: tracker IMEI numbers, SIM numbers, device model, installation point, cutoff type, job city/location, remarks, and dates.
- Device test results: whether a tracker answered, its reported position, and which commands were sent to it.
- Customer job details shown to staff: customer name, phone number, address/city and vehicle details needed to perform the job. These come from your company's CRM and are shown only to authorised staff.
- Financial information (staff only): installation/redo amounts, payouts and salary records that the company has entered for that staff member. Office administrators may also view sales, invoice and payment records.
- Device identifiers: a push-notification token (used only to deliver job alerts) and basic device information (platform and app version).
3. Camera
The camera is used only to scan the barcode or QR code on tracker boxes to read the IMEI number. Images are processed on the phone and are not saved or uploaded. The app does not record audio and does not access photos, contacts, or the phone's location.
4. More than one company on one phone
If you work for more than one company that uses this app, each company's information is kept entirely separately on the phone. Jobs, saved entries, cached lists and sign-in details are stored under the company they belong to, and one company's data is never shown to, uploaded to, or mixed with another's. Changing company is only possible while signed out.
5. How the information is used
- To assign and complete installation and redo jobs, and keep equipment and stock records accurate.
- To show technicians their own stock, work history and earnings.
- To send job alerts (new or assigned jobs) to the relevant technician's phone.
- To keep entries safe while the phone is offline and upload them when a connection is available.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising. There is no analytics or tracking in this app.
6. Sharing
- Your employing company — all work records are stored on that company's own CRM server.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — receives the push token and short alert text (for example a plate number and city) only to deliver notifications. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Maps — when a device test shows a tracker's position on a map, the coordinates reported by the tracker are sent to Google to draw that map. This is the tracker's position, not your phone's.
- Authorities, where required by law.
7. Security
All communication with any server uses encrypted HTTPS; the app will not connect over an unencrypted address. Sign-in sessions use a secure token stored in the phone's encrypted storage; tokens expire and are cancelled when the user signs out, changes password, or is deactivated. Entries waiting to upload are stored in the app's private storage on the phone.
8. Data retention
Work and financial records are kept by your employing company as business records for as long as required for operations, accounting and legal obligations. Saved offline data is removed from the phone once it has been uploaded, and offline copies can be cleared by signing out and uninstalling the app.
9. Account and data deletion
Staff accounts are managed by your employer. To deactivate your account or request deletion of your personal information, contact your own office, or email support@onedoortech.com with your username and company and we will pass the request on. Full instructions: Delete your account and data. Deactivation takes effect immediately; deletion requests are completed within 30 days, except records the company must keep by law (for example, accounting records), which are retained without being used for other purposes.
10. Children
This app is intended for company staff aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version is always available at this address.
